The end of Food Week!

It’s the end of the first week - which also means it’s the end of food week!

We have been very busy, developing our creativity and communication skills. All of our activities during the week lead up to our main activities today.

Today, as it was the last day of food week, we put all of our knowledge to the test!

First, we created our “ideal menus”. We picked our favourite starter, main dish and dessert and created our own menus based on what food we liked.

We´re going shopping!

Today we went to the supermarket to buy oranges, apples and bananas. The children had lots of fun as they picked up the fruit. They also could name other fruit in the grocers, like cherries and watermelon. We then got some bread. When we got back to the school, the children told each other what we had brought and then we ate the fruit and the bread. It was very fun!

EnjoyEnglish trip to the Supermarket

As it is food week, we went on a trip to the supermarket!!

All week we have been practising to say which food we like (yummy) and which food we don’t like (yucky), so today, we decided to go for a walk to the supermarket and buy food to eat and decide whether they are yummy or yucky.

We were split into 3 groups:

The blue group who went to buy chocolate and Nutella

The green group who went to buy biscuits

The yellow group who went to buy fruit (apples, bananas and peaches).

Tuesday’s Shopping Trip

Tuesday: Food Week

This week is “food week” where we are learning new vocabulary about different food using games, lessons, and little trips around Trapaga.

We had some fun outside in the morning to start, before we began the lessons inside. We played Simon Says, Chinese whispers, and a chasing game where some children pretended to be an animal and chased the others who pretended to be food. It was great because it was dry and sunny, but not too hot!

Martes: Excursión al Supermercado

Martes: Semana de la comida

Esta semana es la "semana de la comida" donde aprendemos vocabulario nuevo sobre diferentes alimentos usando juegos, lecciones y pequeños viajes alrededor de Trapaga.
