This week we have been creating our campaigns about the problems in our town. Today, we filmed our videos that encourage people to make our town better. This afternoon, we all won awards to celebrate our brilliant first week together.

Although we have plenty of water fountains, it would be helpful to have more water fountains around town, we decided that we need some in the parks, by the town hall and in school, this inspired us to campain for this in Oñati!

We acted out on of the interviews that we had with the local community. the interview that we acted out was the inspiration for our campaign. the people said that the cracks in the floor make the city look less beautiful so we wanted to campaign for them to be filled.

Today we created a map of Oñati. Then we decided where we would make the improvements that the public suggested. The problems were:

-Cracks and holes in the floor

-More water fountains

-An outdoor swimming pool

We are looking forward to making our campaign videos!!

Yesterday we made a poster in groups and we designed a t-shirt. There are 3 campaigns in our class: no more cracks in the pavement, put your recycling in the correct bin and litter on the floor. In the park we took photos with the problem and our posters. Toady we played games, we watched some videos and we learned the names of places in the town. We prepared and practised our videos for the campaign and we will record the videos tomorrow morning while wearing our t-shirts. This afternoon everybody made slime and we all enjoyed it!
